Great stuff, Ian, I pretty much agree with you on all fronts. Couple of notes that I’ve ascertained from listening to coaches interviews and such:

Smartly, Aranda assigned Joey McGuire to the outside backers role, meaning he is effectively just coaching one position. He says Anywanwu and fellow signee Will Garner (who probably would’ve been a Blake lynch style field backer under Rhule) are joining current players Matt Jones, Ashton Logan, and Tyrone Brown.

As you note, Anyanwu was slow of the ball but a terrific athlete. He never played football until Junior year of high school, which probably accounts for the minimal instincts. He apparently was a freak show at a Baylor camp which led to the offer and commit.

Seth Jones reminds me a lot of Tylan Wallace. 5-11/6-0 guys who people penciled for the slot because of their size and speed but in reality are dominant outside guys who play bigger than their size w/r/t jump balls.

Yep, McGuire has singled him out several times already. Safe bet that he’s starting. Big Q for 2020 Baylor D is who plays nickel.
