Over at SB Nation I break down how Jeff Brohm has the Boilermakers on track to make noise sooner than later in the Big 10 west.
Nebraska is folding like a cheap tent, which was predictable given their turmoil from a year ago and the graduation of Tommy Armstrong, Jr. Minnesota is responding well to “row the boat” and I’ve detailed how they could potentially be one of the stronger challengers out west to Wisconsin. The Badgers are rolling along like normal.
Monied investment into the Big 10 West is putting these schools on track to grow and improve. Demographics might be favorable to the SEC and ACC but it’s hard to beat the toughness and commitment to football from Big 10 country.

If Butch Jones is fired this season, I would love to see Jeff Brohm as Tennessee’s new coach, but I doubt that will happen since he wouldn’t leave Purdue after just one year. Brohm seems to maximize talent as good as anyone in the country.
